Intercessions
O Lord, our Bridegroom, who gave your life for the life of the world, we celebrate the image of our union with you in these two, Christina and Will, now made one. Let them work together the liturgy of your love for the world; let them learn mercy for each other as an example to all.
O God, our Nursing Father, whose abundant fruitfulness is everywhere visible, bless Will and Christina with the mystery and responsibility of children. Give parent and child a holy tenacity, clothed with patience, joy, faithfulness and long-suffering; all those fruits that you work in us by your Spirit as we, children, grow into the fullness of the Anointed.
O Lord, our High Priest, in whose priesthood we share, teach Christina and Will the offering of self through your self-offering, that creates a new world, a place for growth, a home where love, gentleness, kindness, peace, and self-control make their dwelling.
O Lord the Spirit, poured out as fire on all flesh, temple builder and comforter, giver of Life, by your steadfast tender loving kindness, strengthen us who have witnessed these promises and blessings that we, the many from all lands, may respond to your invitation to joy, to come before your presence with singing.
O Lord, our King, who in a great mystery, has brought us into your chamber, we rejoice in your delight in us and your desire for the spirit you have made to dwell in us. O Lord, our Mediator, alone, be our solitude, sealed with your love, together, be our praise with thanksgiving, world without end.
